SUMMARY:
Well established company based in Alberton seeks a Demand Planner with buying experience

POSITION INFO:
Role purpose
Oversee inventory management, supplier sourcing, and procurement processes with a focus on stock analysis, demand forecasting, order management, and cost optimization. This role aims to ensure efficient operations, maximize profitability, and maintain optimal stock levels

Minimum Requirements

Experience in stock control, inventory management, procurement, or supply chain management.
Strong analytical skills with experience in stock forecasting, demand planning, and cost analysis.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, stock control systems).
Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
Knowledge of transportation logistics

Duties will include:

Continuously track stock levels to ensure optimal inventory, minimizing excess stock
Evaluate stock turnover rates, slow-moving items, and fast-moving products to optimize inventory levels
Develop and implement data-driven forecasting models to ensure stock availability
Identify and source potential suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
Process purchase orders in accordance with stock forecasts and business needs.
