SUMMARY:
We sell pipes, fittings and flanges and we are looking to employ Depot/Warehouse manager for our depot in Bellville, Cape Town.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
Developing, motivating and creating a high performing distribution and warehousing team
Providing qualitative reports as required by management timeously
Managing risk control, ensure security, safety and good house keeping
Developing and maintaining relationship with the sales team and internal customers
Managing daily activities and staff effectively, resulting in continuous improved service levels to internal and external customers and achieving optimum labour utilisation
Managing and protecting the company assets including stock
Managing discipline within the depot and partaking in hearings
Ensuring optimal functioning of the fleet
Participating in audits as and when required
Ensuring that the Depot is in a highly presentable state and audit ready at all times
Ensuring that all MHE downtime is avoided in as far as possible and that warehouse equipment and building is well maintained
Spending adequate time on the floor as part of managing the Depot

Candidate Requirements/ Experience:
Grade 12 National Diploma in logistics management or equivalent
MS Office is an added advantage
5 to 8 years relevant experience, in similar management role
Attention to detail
Customer service orientated
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Stock management knowledge and understanding logistics and distribution principles
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent planning, organising and decision-making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of labour law
