Desktop Deployment Technician required to join a manufacturing company based in Fife, on a 3-month contract, offering a rate of £200-£225 per day, and has been determined to be Outside IR35. The role also offers hybrid working and will require you to be onsite 2 or 3 days a week.
You will be joining the company during a very exciting period of growth as they look to integrate a new business acquisition into the company. Essentially you will be responsible for the deployment of over 220 Windows Laptops and PCs across 3 main locations within the UK. You will also be tasked with running test workshops before the deployment to ensure all the hardware and desktop applications are working correctly to ensure a smooth and efficient deployment further down the line.
The ideal candidate will come from a strong IT support background and have a number of years of experience working on hardware deployment projects. You'll need to be comfortable with supporting end users first-hand and have the ability to act as the main point of contact for various teams within the business. You will also need to be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with 3rd party suppliers first-hand and using your management skills to ensure the deployment is delivered in the most efficient way possible.
Key Skills and Experiences:
** Deployment of over 220 Laptops/PC's throughout the business
** Provide hands-on support to various end-users throughout the deployment process
** Work closely with 3rd party suppliers
** Come from a service desk/application configuration background
** Solid communication skills
