Desktop Publishing Specialist / DTP Operator

Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. DTP qualification
3. Printing industry experience
4. 5+ years experience in a Flexographic or digital repro environment
5. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat
6. Experience with Kodak Prinergy
7. Used to working in a fast paced environment
8. Computer literate

Duties:

• Doing artwork layout according to customer brief and specifications
• Produce and update/revise customer artworks
• Typeset graphic layouts for various products
• Prepare print ready artwork and impose according to specifications supplied
• Prepare file for tooling requirements (foils/varnishes/dies etc)
• Maintain and update databases
• Maintain and update artwork files and logobank
• Check and clear customer designs
• Liaise with sales consultants and clients on an ongoing basis
