Diesel Fitter / Mechanic (Marine) Ref: 2975

A trade tested and fully qualified diesel fitter or marine mechanic artisan with 7+ years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the marine environment (fishing, offshore), will be ideally suited to this role.
 
Must have hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of diesel fitting functions (fleet and shore), industry-related testing procedures, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, setting tappets, and repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment. The ability to read marine vessel blueprints is also essential.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for diesel fitting activities, overseeing contractors and supervising workshop subordinates.
