Diesel Mechanic

SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Manufacturing Sector is looking to employ a Diesel Mechanic to join their dynamic team in Middelburg.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: 

• Variety of Commercial and Industrial vehicles: (Excavators, Loaders, Forklift, Side Loader, Trucks, Tractors, LVD’s etc)
• Experience on CAT machines with KRESS & TML attachments will be advantageous
• Advanced Hydraulic experience
• Workshop and Field work in line with sound preventative, breakdown and planned maintenance strategies. · Shift work may be required from time to time
• Standby duty is a requirement
• Overtime required as per workload requirements
• Forklift and overhead crane Licenses will be an added advantage

• Must have Matric/N3 with Maths and Science but will consider a N2 with a Trade Test and at least 5 years’ experience
• Must have a National Trade Test Certificate
• Must have 3-5 years’ experience in relevant industry experience in the mechanic trade with a N3
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to apply sound judgement when on standby
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to pay attention to detail and have a sound job related safety awareness and not afraid of heights
