Our client is seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic who is able to work under pressure and deliver accurate work within a deadline driven environment, to join their team.

The purpose of the role is to perform maintenance on trucks, trailers and depot. To be on 24hrs standby when needed, to work overtime as required

Location: Empangeni, KZN

Duties and Responsibilities

• To perform maintenance on trucks, trailers, and depot.
• Depot and fleet routine inspections.
• Repairs on truck and trailers
• 24-hour breakdowns (standby)
• Maintaining fleet
• Repairs on truck and trailers
• Ordering parts and maintaining stock
• Roadworthy and safe loading inspections
• Tyre changes
• Health and safety inspections
• Fleet inspections

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Qualification for Diesel Mechanic – Trade Tested
• Must have minimum 5 years’ experience
• Valid driver’s licence
• Must have knowledge on air brake system
• Code 14 with PDP will be an advantage
• Must be available to work overtime and do breakdowns, when required
