SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Forestry Sector is looking to employ a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in the Mthatha region (45km from Mthatha)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description: 

  • Must be in possession of a Matric Certificate or equivalent
  • Must have completed an apprenticeship, be in possession of a trade test and be certified as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Appropriate experience on forestry equipment such as tygercat, bell and urus machines
  • Ability to repair and service all vehicles/ mechanical equipment falling within the ambience of the garage workshop.
  • Knowledge of the Sawmill Industry will be an added advantage
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence
  • Must have extensive experience in hydraulic and mechanical computer systems
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be knowledgeable of OHSA

Person Requirements: 

  • Must be prepared to work overtime from time to time.
  • Must be prepared to do standby duties.
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work without supervision, be reliable and be accountable.
  • Must be innovative and safety conscious.
  • Must be able to work within a team.
  • Must have integrity.
