Diesel Mechanic (Trucks), East London

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• Trade test qualified Diesel Mechanic
• 5+ years general diagnostic and repairs/maintenance experience on trucks
• Preference will be given to candidates with short notice periods
• Clear criminal record and contactable references
• Computer / diagnostic tooling literate
• Good communication skill and able to work to deadlines
• Valid drivers and own transport

• Attend to breakdowns, including standby services if required
• Diagnose / record vehicle mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, and repair requirements accurately
• Completion of job cards as per company policy
• Maintain good production levels and efficiency levels
• Overall care / maintenance of company assets
• Repair / maintain vehicles and assets as assigned
