Diesel Technician

SUMMARY:
New vacancy is available for a Diesel Technician for our client in the Automotive Industry, based in the Kraaifontein area Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

1. Workshop Operations: Support the Workshop Foreman and maintain department relationships, manage work efficiently, and record hours worked.
2. Task Performance: Perform exemplary tasks and adhere to minimum standards required by the Group.
3. Job Card Completion: Properly record all hours, lubricants, and parts used, and follow systems and processes as instructed by management.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, especially when attending to breakdowns, and wear correct PPE.

1. Internal Relationships: Build sound relationships with parts staff, colleagues, and peers, and promote a collaborative atmosphere.
2. Mentorship: Take ownership of apprentices, complete documentation, and transfer skills effectively.
3. Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to Health and Safety rules and encourage colleagues to do the same.

1. Documentation: Diligently complete all documentation, including logbooks and warranty claims.
2. Time Keeping: Set an example with regards to time keeping and adhere to Labour Relations Act.
3. Wellness and Confidence: Promote wellness, self-confidence, and understanding within the team.

1. Training and Learning: Participate in relevant training programs, share new knowledge with others, and take note of personal learning and self-development.
2. Adherence to Rules: Obey company rules, including those related to tool, special tools, and company assets.

• Diesel Trade Test Completed 
• Minimum 2-3 years experiences in similar role 
• Code 14 license with PDP
