Dispatch Clerk
My client, a distributor of paints and coatings is seeking a Dispatch Clerk to join their team.
Location: Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha

Duties and Responsibilities
- Fleet control
- Customer service
- Ensure delivery times are adhered to
- Planning of deliveries
- Dispatch
- Coordinating changes whenever necessary e.g. Absent drivers, vehicle breakdowns and when changes are made to the dispatch schedule to accommodate additional loads
- Ensuring the correct amount of stock is dispatched and paperwork ties up with physical stock
- Manage drivers and leave roster
- Ensure store shelves in shop store is adequately stocked at all times
- Manage all receiving and returns from suppliers in the dispatch yard
- Adhere to airlock system
- Adhere to the OHSA
- Yard cleaning
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Dispatching exposure
- Experience with logistics/transport within the retail sector would be an added advantage
- Valid driver’s license
- Communication skills
- Managing people and leadership skills
- Attention to detail
