SUMMARY:
A frozen food manufacturer in Centurion is looking to employ a senior Dispatch manager fluent in English and Afrikaans. The right candidate would oversees the scheduling and safe dispatch of all online and retail orders.

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Dispatch Manager
Location: Centurion
Remuneration: R450 000 per year (R35 000 - R40 000 pm Depending on experience)

Requirements:

Matric
Logistics qualification would be beneficial
Transport/Logistics experience at least 3-6 years
In-depth knowledge of the Road traffic act, legislation and transport
Excellent knowledge of handling commodities (fresh, frozen and dry)

Duties included but not limited to:

Delivery:
- Loading of trucks safely and effectively.
- Work closely with transport companies to coordinate the movement of orders not within delivery regions.
- Ensure that the cargo/orders are always protected (boxes, sealed, wrapped) for transportation.
- Inspect orders to ensure the correct quantities and products match what was invoiced to the recipients.
- Implementation of transport policies, systems and standards that will improve customer service.
- Ensure that customer orders are delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently and in line with the FSMS (Food Safety Management System) requirements.
- Ensure that all vehicles are maintained following company standards and aligned with the road traffic act.
Inventory:
- Continually maximize space utilization.
- Implement and practice FIFO at all times.
- Plan, coordinate, manage and coordinate the movement of all outgoing orders.
- Plan and conduct the stock counts as per the company’s management guidelines.
