JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and providing leadership to the dispatch and collections department
  • Coordinate with team to plan and execute various projects.
  • Guide and assist team members in their assigned job responsibilities.
  • Supervise team members to meet quality and productivity standards.
  • Assign daily workload to team members and ensure to meet deadlines.
  • Expense management activities.
  • Recommend process improvements to achieve departmental performance goals.
  • Collaborates with the Manager in coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members in a positive and proactive manner.
  • Assists in the management of daily operational functions on all shifts, including planning, notifying the Manager of staffing issues, monitoring customer orders and coordinating training to team members.
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail, able to lead, mentor and inspire team members to meet daily goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to read bills of lading, packing lists, inventory manifests and order sheets within a busy warehouse environment.
  • Able to work with WMS system (SAP & Qwix), MS Office programmes such as (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  • A personal commitment to safety, with the highest standards of personal integrity and professional, ethical conduct always.

Requirements
 
  • Matric essential
  • Qualification in warehouse/logistics
  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years' experience in a warehouse dispatch and/or collections field.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience, or proof of consistent career advancement to qualify for advancement to a supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of routing/logistics to meet the daily goals set by management and the expectations of the customer.
