SUMMARY:
PADI/ OWSI Instructor needed in Pemba, Tanzania
Want to live and work in a beautiful island resort?
Private & remote resort on Pemba Island is looking for a diving instructor to operate small group tours and courses.
You will be managing clients, scheduling dives and courses and maintain all aspects of the dive equipment.
New instructors are encouraged to apply, especially if you have worked in African resorts before.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:
English speaking. Additional languages a bonus.
Understanding of the African environment and willingness to participate in the local culture.
Basic knowledge of gear maintenance and flexibility is a must.

Qualifications:

PADI / OWSI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification with active teaching status.
Previous experience working in Africa or isolated resorts.
Passion for mentoring and motivating guests and fostering cultural understanding of the area.
Strong decision making and problem solving skills, able to work without direct supervision and adaptable to often changing, dynamic environments.
Demonstrated success working on diverse teams with a collaborative mindset.
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or willingness to obtain certification before programs begin strongly preferred.
Physically fit to actively participate in outdoor adventure activities.
Great communication skills and a professional demeanour to serve as a resort ambassador to our international guests.
Willingness to interact with guests and collaborate with the team to achieve the ultimate guest experience.
