SUMMARY:
A leader within the Mining and Minerals industry seeks to employ a Draughtsman to join their successful team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification

Matric

Requirements

Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge and working experience in the Mining industry
Software: Advanced Steel, Revit, Civil 3D (Not mandatory), CAD, Solidworks, Draftsight/ Autocad

Duties

Detailing of non-standard sections and connections such as plate grinders and closed sections
Creating new standard connections using complex members
Detailing of superstructures
Detailing of hoppers which consist of odd angles, using platework and structural beams combined
Importing of positioning of mechanical equipment from other software packages
Building of a complete assembled model consisting of different structural sub assembly modules/ models
Creating long section views and flat shots/ 2D drawings of the overall assembly
Understanding of optimising the detailing / software
3D concept layouts for accurate bill of materials
Develop detailed designs by means of 3D and 2D CAD Software
Create detail models
Measure or verify equipment and parts to redesign/remanufacture
Compilation of parts manuals
Must be willing to travel to client sites to verify designs
