SUMMARY:
Are you passionate about hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences? A prestigious boutique guesthouse is looking for a Duty Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure smooth service, and maintain high standards of guest satisfaction.

POSITION INFO:
Role: Duty Manager
Location: Hermanus, , Overberg, Western Cape
Salary: TBC

What You’ll Be Doing:

ð Guest Experience & Services – Welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, and handle inquiries and special requests to ensure a memorable stay.
ð¥ Staff Supervision – Oversee front desk, housekeeping, and operational staff, ensuring smooth coordination and adherence to service standards.
ð¡ Property & Operations Management – Conduct routine inspections, maintain cleanliness, and handle any maintenance or safety concerns.
ð½ Food & Beverage Oversight – Supervise breakfast service, take guest orders, and ensure high-quality food presentation and service.
ð Administrative & Financial Tasks – Monitor reservations, process payments, manage supplies, and generate daily financial reports.
ð Security & Compliance – Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, oversee security protocols, and train staff on emergency procedures.
ð Overnight Stay & Split Shifts – Stay overnight on assigned days, be available for guest assistance, and manage split shifts when required.

What We’re Looking For:

â Proven experience in hospitality or guest services.
â Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
â Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
â Attention to detail and a hands-on approach to management.
â Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overnight stays.
