Duty Manager

Job Purpose: Will oversee the full running of operations across all departments. Will also ensure a prompt, polite, efficient, and high standard of hotel service to the satisfaction of the guest and in accordance with Company policy and procedures

Minimum requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as a whiting the same or similar role at a 4 star establishment within the hospitality industry
• PMS, POS and Office suite experience
• F & B knowledge (Food and beverage)
• Working long shifts
• MICE knowledge (Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions)
• Driving license and own transport
• Formal Hospitality qualification (Diploma or degree)
• Customer service experience
• Team management skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills

Duties will be, but are not limited to:

• Ensure high standard of hotel is maintained across all departments
• Ensure standard of staff morale and appearance is maintained
• Ensure all operating equipment is in good working condition and used properly
• Assist with stock taking when needed
• Ensure stock pare levels are maintained
• Assist and liaise with guests needs and special functions
• All maintenance issues need to be reported to maintenance and actioned as a matter of urgency and ensure issue is completed
• Ensure effective communication is in place between all departments
• Ensure staff daily function are done and necessary arrangements are done
• Identify any areas of development / training needs and ensure on the job training or external training is done
• Ensure all hygiene standards are adhere to
• Ensure in-house guest complaints are attended to and resolve as a matter of urgency
• Ensure food items from the kitchen are of the highest quality, presentation
