ERP Business Analyst required for a tech-for-good software company across the central belt of Scotland.
The company:
They are a truly ground-breaking business, based in both Edinburgh and Glasgow. They are first and foremost a software company and are certainly a "tech-for-good" business. The software and products they are creating are greatly helping to limit greenhouse gases and pollution into the environment and they have a global reach. You will be joining a team that truly care about the environment and will be contributing to making it a better place for all.
The company have a global presence and have offices in the likes of Singapore and the USA. The company have turned to a hybrid working policy and it would be ideal if you could make it into the office for two or three days a week.
The role:
This role is really for a Business Analyst who has strong ERP knowledge, however it is not a technical position. This is a business role and you will report directly into the Head of Information Systems. The company currently have several applications that they aren't using to their fullest, so you will be tasked with helping the business to do this.
As an early project, you will be helping to re-implement their ERP system (E-Max) and then latterly you will be helping to implement a new global ERP, across a number of worldwide sites. As the company grows, they need a bigger and more reliable system. This hasn't been decided on, and you will aid in that decision making process and work with vendors, tendering the process. As the company has global offices, you may also get the opportunity to travel oversees and aid in these implementations.
In terms of the implementation, it will largely be done via Waterfall methodology and having a broad ERP knowledge is a must. You will also need to have strong stakeholder management skills, however not SQL configuration etc. This is not a hands-on role.
Key Skills and Experience:
** ERP or MRP systems knowledge - from a Business Analyst and implementation background
** Strong stakeholder management skills
** Experience with requirements gathering and use case analysis
** Experience in a formal modelling notation (e.g., BPMN, ArchiMate, UML)
** Waterfall and Agile experience
** Experience in data analysis
** Background in business analysis project planning and control, and experience of project RAID management
** Experienced in Supply Chain / Manufacturing Management (desirable)
Role responsibilities:
** Deconstruct user needs and produce problem statements for analysis and reconstruction, in order to help construct viable solutions
** Communicate system, process and application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including senior management, end users and department heads
** Design and plan the process to gather user needs and other relevant data, with all relevant stakeholders
** Create user flows, wireframes and map business processes which represent the current structure and future design of systems
