 Qualifications:

• Grade 12 with Math as a subject
• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Warehouse / Logistics

Experience and Requirements:

• A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience as Warehouse / Logistics Manager/Co-Ordinator
• Computer literate on Ms Office Suite and Syspro
• Able to speak an African language
• Own Transport and a valid driver’s licence is essential
• Have a stable work record and contactable references
• Of sober habits
• Physically fit and able to work on your feet
• Excellent communication skills
• Interpersonal and organisational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• In debt knowledge about the product the company sells
• Knowledge of transport rates and services
• Basic financial skills- e.g., calculations
• Negotiation skills
• General administration skills
• Problem solving skills
• Presentation skills
• Knowledge of Warehousing ideally from a steel trading background
• Knowledge of Logistics- specifically the packing and consolidation of load and planning of trips
• Knowledge of GIT Insurance
• Knowledge of Transport SLA’s
• Knowledge of pre-shipment inspections and documentation related to inspections
• Knowledge of Export documentation
• Basic HR knowledge- to manage Warehouse employee
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Act and how this is applied in Warehouse
• Knowledge of the company’s stock control system
• Knowledge of security requirements in the Warehouse
