SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Assistant Electrical Resident Engineer in the Louis Trichardt/Polokwane area or in vicinity of Venetia mine. Qualified Engineer/ Technologist with a PR registration at ECSA . Must be experiences in industrial and mining installations such as pump stations and reticulation for overhead or underground systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ELECTRICAL ASSISTANT rESIDENT ENGINEER-CONSULTING

Louis Trichardt/Polokwane or in vicinity of Venetia mine.

Well established Consulting engineering concern with experience in the building services industry and Industrial sector for over 25 years. ARE required on a 6 month Contract / project close to the Venetia Mine

Qualification and experience:

Professional Registration: Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech at ECSA will be preferable, but registration as Candidate with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) will also be considered. I
Minimum 5 years’ experience with typical industrial and mining installations such as pump stations and reticulation for overhead/underground systens
Experience in design & specifications, tender process, contract management, construction supervision & handover.

Responsibilities:

Manage cash flow, project program, compile and submit regular status/progress reports, and other project related admin
Conduct regular site meetings and inspections, resolve design issues, verify contractor installations quality, compliance with the designs & specifications.
Will work in close collaboration with contractors, design engineers, the client and other members of the team as may be required.
