• The daily physical demands are those required of an electrical assistant.
• The candidate must be physically fit.
• The person will be required to travel to sites.
• The work environment characteristics are those encountered in a typical environment.

• Placing and drawing in of conductors into wire ways.
• Installing and connecting of lighting, cooker, water heater, PV systems, low voltage systems and DC systems including systemised and / innovative wiring systems, the connection of distribution boards and inverters.
• Installing of under floor heating systems.
• Jointing of cables using epoxy or other approved means, as well as the connection of such cables on installations where the supply has been switched off.
• Simple arc welding.
• Performing the work of an electrical assistant, general assistant or Elconop 1.
• Assisting a master installation electrician, installation electrician, electrical tester for single phase, an electrician/artisan and an Elconop 3.
