SUMMARY:
Electrical Draughtsman (Revit MEP)
POSITION INFO:
The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of design and project administration of MV/LV reticulation and commercial building services projects. This role involves the design and implementation of electrical systems for various types of buildings and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Revit MEP to create detailed electrical drawings and models for MV/LV reticulation and commercial building services projects.
Design and construct MV sub-stations.
Design MV and LV reticulation for residential townships, low-cost housing, and industrial plants.
Develop electrical and electronic services designs for Shopping Centres, Hospitals, Hotels, Office Parks, Corporate Head Offices, Schools, and Data Centres.
Implement designs for Data Centres, including Hosting, Financial Institutions, and Mobile Switching Stations, in accordance with TIA Standards.
Manage the design and implementation of complete upgrades of existing Data Centres, including live power migrations and dual redundant supply systems.
Conduct Green Star rating classifications (design and as-built).
Perform energy-efficient audits, designs, and implementations.
Design and implement specialist earthing and lightning protection systems.
Develop redundant and resilient power systems controls.
Design and implement backup power systems, including generators and UPSs.
Create specialist facade and task lighting designs.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in electrical draughting, with a strong background in MV/LV reticulation and commercial building services projects.
Proficiency in Revit MEP and other relevant design software.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the design and construction of MV sub-stations.
Knowledge of TIA Standards for Data Centres.
Familiarity with Green Star rating classifications and energy-efficient designs.
Expertise in earthing and lightning protection systems.
Experience with backup power systems and resilient power systems controls.
