Electrical Supervisor - Kimberley

Qualifications & Experience
• Certified Three Phased Installation Electrician N3
• Red seal certificate
• 10 years’ experience as Installation Electrician
• 3 years’ experience in managing and developing people
• 3 years’ experience in fresh/frozen meat production
• Own transport and valid licence & hand tools
• Computer Skills (MS Office)
Duties will include, but not limited to:
Perform and supervise (when necessary) daily electrical repairs, installations, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems across the feedlot with regard to reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance according to legislation and standards; including the installation and maintenance of wiring, lighting systems and electrical components.
Organisational Effectiveness
• Project management of new approved projects and installation.
• Daily FFC inspections
• Checklist for critical equipment (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Daily morning team meeting to determine priorities of day
• Receive job cards logged via call centre & Allocate job cards to electrician for maintenance
• Inspect and sign off once job is complete as per job card
• Plan and action preventive maintenance
Understand handling, care and safety of tools of the trade
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes
• Project Management skills
• Basic knowledge of Electronics / Prologic Controller
• Knowledge of High Voltage advantageous
• Communicate with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner
• Sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven knowledge on relevant Food Safety Management Systems
• Working on heights and confined spaces
• Ability to live the core values of the business.
• Ability to organise the department and roles effectively.
Have Problem solving, good communication, Analytical & Interpersonal skills
Sound Governance
• Adhere to OHSA / Infrared reports 2x per annum
• Establish, implement, and control maintenance policies and procedures
Budget Management
• Manage electrical and maintenance cost, material cost and improve manufacturing efficiencies
• Manage leave and absenteeism effectively
• Efficient management of budget R1,5 - R2m per annum
Stock / spares management & Quality Assurance
Manage electrical stock and spares control, perform Monthly stock takes & Quality Assurance
Salary: R40 000 negotiable plus provident fund, annual bonus (at management discretion), and monthly performance bonus.
