JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure and will be required to maintain various plant and project installations according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements  Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards  Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Foreman  Develop, modify, construct/fabricate and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment  Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure  Communicate with clients and supervisors on maintenance activities performed and equipment handover  Required to work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice, and report any observations of this not being done  Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives  Work overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
