SUMMARY:
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery and infrastructure. The role involves minimizing downtime, ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, and supporting production needs through proactive maintenance and rapid fault resolution.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance & Repairs

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime.
Ensure all repairs and installations meet FSSC, safety, and regulatory standards.

Installation & Upgrades

Install and commission new electrical systems, wiring, and components.
Upgrade existing electrical infrastructure for improved efficiency and compliance.

Fault Finding & Troubleshooting

Conduct systematic fault-finding to identify and resolve electrical issues.
Use diagnostic tools and schematics to analyse and correct system failures.

Compliance & Safety

Adhere to electrical safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper use of PPE and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate records of work done, inspections, and compliance reports.

Energy Efficiency & Optimization

identify and implement energy-saving initiatives.
Optimize electrical systems to enhance performance and reduce costs.

Technical Support & Collaboration

Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Provide guidance and support on electrical-related issues to ensure smooth operations.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed logs of electrical work, breakdowns, and maintenance schedules.
Report findings and recommendations to supervisors or management.

Functional Competence-skills and knowledge required for job:

Basic Electrical Installation & Wiring.
Electrical Fault-Finding & Troubleshooting.

Education:

Grade 12
N3 Electrical Engineering Certificate

Experience:
1 -2 Years hands-on electrical experience in industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance environment.
