Electronic Technician

POSITION INFO:

Overseeing and maintaining advanced electronic systems, including fiber optics, IP networks, databases, and machine control software.
Using your IT expertise to ensure seamless system performance.
Diagnosing and resolving PLC issues to keep machines running at peak efficiency.
Handling wiring, equipment installation, and machine calibration—experience with weighing systems is a bonus!
Software and hardware maintained and servicing of operating systems.
Providing expert technical support & training to customers, empowering them to maximize automation capabilities.
Tackling on-site challenges head-on with quick thinking and technical know-how.
Continuously optimizing machine performance, efficiency, and automation processes.
Setting up and testing electrical systems to ensure flawless operation.

Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in both spoken and written Afrikaans is essential.
Solid IT skills paired with a strong background in electronic technology.
Proven ability to perform accurate machine calibration.
Knowledge of PLC systems, including Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, or other major platforms.
 
Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering/ Millwright Trade Test (Electromechanical)
Valid driver's license.
Valid passport (required for international travel).
 
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
