Our client in the Petrochemical industry is seeking to employ an Engineering Assistant to join their team. Please note that this is a (fixed term contract).

Technical Support – Assist engineers in the design, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Data Collection & Analysis – Gather, interpret, and analyse operational data to identify trends, support decision-making, and drive performance improvements.
Documentation & Compliance – Maintain and update engineering drawings, technical documents, and reports while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards.
Project Coordination – Support project planning and execution by coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and contractors, while assisting in procurement and coordination.
Equipment Maintenance – Assist in equipment inspections, preventive maintenance planning, and reliability initiatives to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
Safety & Quality Assurance – Uphold safety protocols, participate in risk assessments, and contribute to quality control measures to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Process Optimization – Assist in identifying inefficiencies, recommending technical enhancements, and implementing best practices to improve productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Software & Tools Utilization – Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP, MATLAB) for design, simulation, data analysis, and documentation.
Field Support – Provide firsthand technical assistance, collaborate with operations teams, and ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions in plant activities.
Continuous Learning & Development – Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry advancements, and best practices to enhance knowledge and contribute effectively to engineering initiatives.

Experience & Qualification

• Medically fit to perform duties.
• Bachelor of technology, national Diploma or N6 in the Mechanical Engineering Field.

• 6 years upwards of experience in a relevant position.
• Welding Phase 1 or higher would be advantageous.
• Clear Criminal Record.
