Estimating Quantity Surveyor
Our client in St Helena Bay, West Coast is seeking to employ an estimating quantity surveyor
Key responsibilities
Attend site meetings visits, on occasion.
Complete BoQ’s received from Clients.
Preparation of BoQ’s from drawings and specifications. If needed, measuring and take-off from drawings.
Prepare quotations for the approval of Variation Orders and Site Instructions.
Prepare rate build-ups.
Obtain adjudicate quotations from suppliers and contractors.
Advise on contractual data for tender.
Preparation and submission of all tender documents.
Revise the Tender BoQ and rate build-ups to prepare a Construction BoQ
with material and labor allowances.
Assist Senior Quantity Surveyors where needed.
Education and experience BSc / BTech Quantity Surveying would be a recommendation.
5 - 10 years’ experience in estimating.
Extensive knowledge of commercial construction.
MS Office literate.
Candy and Build Smart experience are a requirement.
Special requirements - Extensive knowledge of estimating (from houses, complexes, office blocks,
schools, etc.) is essential.
he ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects.
Passion for the building environment.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Own transport and valid driver’s license.
Willing to work overtime to meet deadlines and the willingness to travel
SALARY: R26 500- R33 500 per month
