SUMMARY:

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Events and Marketing Coordinator

Stipend: R5500.00

Location: Kempton Park

POSITION INFO:
The Events & Marke6ng Intern will support event planning, marke6ng campaigns, and brand promo6ons. This
role is perfect for a crea6ve, organized, and energe6c individual eager to gain hands-on experience in corporate
event management and marke6ng strategies.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and execusion of corporate events, trade shows, and networking sessions.
Support event logistics, including venue setup, supplier coordination, and guest management.
Contribute to marke6ng content crea6on (social media, newsletters, website updates).
Conduct market research to iden6fy event trends and target audience insights.
Assist in developing event proposals and marke6ng materials.
Monitor and analyse the performance of marke6ng campaigns.
Support administrative tasks related to event planning and marketing coordination.

Requirements:

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES Programme before.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Event Management,
Communications, or a related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Creative mindset with marketing skills and content creation skills for event proposals and social media.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop) is a plus.
