Executive Chef | Dubai | Busy Upmarket Restaurant
We are looking for experienced EXECUTIVE CHEF to run the kitchen operation of a well-known, upmarket restaurant located in Dubai. The restaurant has been voted in top 10 best restaurants in Dubai few times now.
The Restaurant offers A la Carte menu, specializing in Brazilian and Japanese Cuisine, business lunches, sushi bar, bar & lounge and rooftop terrace.
With the staff count of almost 200, we are looking for the strong candidate with previous experience in running a big kitchen operation within a Restaurant
Main duties:
- Full Kitchen operations
- P&L
- Able to work with large volumes and under a lot of pressure
- Excellent delegation skills
- Coaching and Training
- Passion for the hospitality industry
- Developing unique and cuisine-appropriate menus
- Staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry
- Maintaining the kitchen and surrounding areas in a condition that meet the company standards and health code regulations
- Monitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from approved vendors
- Hiring, training and supervising kitchen staff
- Assisting and directing kitchen staff in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery
- Identifying and introducing new culinary techniques
- Preparing meals and completing prep support as needed
Main skills and qualifications required:
- Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts
- Previous experience of at least 5 years of working in high end, high-volume kitchen operation
- Hands on
- must have excellent knowledge in Latin American and Spanish cuisines
- Being able to manage a big kitchen and high volume of chefs
- Experience from GCC countries will be a bonus
- Fluent English
- Additional languages will be an advantage
- Fast thinker
- Creative
