JOB DESCRIPTION:

A vacancy has arisen in Pietermaritzburg for a company in the Shipping and Logistics department for an experienced Export Controller.

Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the incumbent will perform the following:

Handling of proper documentation, including transit documents and customer clearances.
Ensure that all documentation is accurately processed and released to customers and agents timeously.
Prepare SARS Bill of Entries and Transnet Port Terminal container releases.
Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relations.
Plan and schedule appropriate modes of transportation based on daily needs.
Monitor and track global movement of goods to verify order fulfilment.
Ensure correct dispatch information is passed to respective warehouses.

Minimum Essential Requirements:

Minimum Grade 12 Pass
Shipping& Logistics/Export experience would be an advantage
2 years’ General Administration Experience
Good Oral & Written Communication Skills
Problem solving abilities, with an aptitude for attention to details
Computer literacy in MS Office suite
Syspro ERP experience would be an advantage
