SUMMARY:
A well-known a Clinical Diagnostic and Life Science Company requires the above to market and sell the product portfolio to achieve territorial sales and GP targets as well as provide internal and external customer service.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Minimum requirements for the role:
  • A tertiary degree or diploma or relevant NQF 6 Qualification in Life Sciences or related is essential for this role.
  • Previous sales and marketing experience working within an Area Sales Manager or relevant position within the Sub-Saharan IVD Diagnostic and Life Science Industry is essential.
  • Previous experience in strategic development, new business development and sales and marketing is essential.
  • Existing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, NGO Funders and Supply Chain Management is preferred.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Achieving and exceeding sales and GP budgets within Sub-Saharan and emerging market territories, relevant Customer accounts and product budgets.
  • Translating Company goals into go-to-market and sales strategies within the export territory.
  • Developing account focused marketing strategies towards achieving and exceeding growth targets.
  • Developing and implementing tactical plans to realise new growth opportunities.
  • Implementing, monitoring and ensuring total territorial coverage by country.
  • Ensuring in-field accompaniment of distributors and providing support with respect to product and sales knowledge.
  • Solving Customer queries and complaints.
  • Providing Customers with relevant product information.
  • Effectively following up and concluding long term high value projects.
  • Building and maintaining a network of international KOLs (Pathologists, Molecular Biologists and End-Users) to support the Company’s commercialisation efforts.
  • Complying with required internal processes and reporting to ultimately deliver growth and managing sales performance.
  • Interacting with all stakeholders to be in line with business values and code of ethics.

  • Complying with Company quality system requirements.
  • Driving the development and adaptation of marketing materials and sales targeting Distributors, End-Users, and the different scientific communities, Universities, Public Laboratories, Private Laboratories, Ministry of Health Intuitions and Private Hospitals.
  • Improving the capabilities of distributors to successfully sell our products.
  • Maintaining a high degree of product and market knowledge.
  • Performing research on the competition and educate the Company on a regular basis.
  • Developing competitive response strategies.
  • Building a sales and marketing plan for export region in collaboration with the Product Managers and Principals and then supporting the setup and execution of them all to ensure a successful launch of new products.
  • Coordinating regional projects with the Product Managers and developing deep knowledge of the regional marketplace and relative product positioning.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
