External Sales Administrator/Representative

SUMMARY:
Drive Sales growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated External Sales Administrator/Representative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers. The role requires a proactive approach to identify sales opportunities, understand customers needs, and deliver tailored solutions. Role in Cape Town city centre. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
• Identify and engage potential customers through cold calling, networking and market research
• Conduct regular visits to customers to maintain strong relationships and understand their evolving needs
• Present and demonstrate our client''s products to customers, highlighting key features and benefits
• Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product support
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery of products
• Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions and competitors to inform sales strategies
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including activity logs, sales forecasts and customer feedback

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as an External Sales Representative or in a similar sales role
• Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Self-motivated, goal-orientated and able to work independently
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Computer literate - SRM software
• Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel extensively
• Key salesperson 
• Deal with high-end VIP customers, call customers, arrange deliveries, process orders
• New business development
• Professional with excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn products quickly
• Go-getter and high-energy
• Good organisational skills
