SUMMARY:
Job Purpose: Maintaining and expanding the existing customer relationships and building relationships with new customers within the Africa remit to increase the profitability of the business

JOB DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBLITIES:
Identify and pursue any opportunities within the existing or new customer base within the Africa remit.
Deliver the targets and increase the profits in line with the company’s business and regional strategy.
Development of the strategy to increase the profitability and sales within the remit, reviewing and updating this regularly.
Provide regular updates on the effectiveness of the strategy and sales results to the Line Manager.
Maintain the existing customer relationships through visits, calls etc. and develop the relationships with new customers within the remit in line with the strategy.
Have an understanding of the market and customer needs in the remit to design and effectively deliver on the set objectives.
Address any customer issues that arise, quickly and efficiently.
Maintaining and updating the database including the client records.
Contract/rates negotiations, current and new.
Supporting the Company’s core values and behaviours.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Matric + relevant sales/ marketing qualification
Minimum 5 years’ sales experience within the Freight/ Logistics industry – NOT NEGOTIABLE
Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales across the SSA, East and West Africa regions – NOT NEGOTIABLE
People management and Sales/ Profit management experience
