FITTER - HOBBING / GEAR CUTTING OPERATOR (DURBAN)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Fitter - Hobbing / Gear Cutting Operator for a specialized engineering team. This is a highly specialized position, and while prior experience in gear cutting is ideal, we offer comprehensive training for the right candidate.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have either a Mechanical Engineering qualification from a technical college or be trade-tested in Fitting or Fitting and Turning.
- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings, and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and verniers.
- Ideally, the candidate should have experience working in a machine shop or engineering workshop, operating machinery. Experience in working with fine tolerances (up to 0.01mm) is preferred.
 
Note: Candidates with boilermaking or electrical qualifications/experience will not be considered, as this role requires mechanical skills specifically.
