FOREMAN -ROUGH SHOP

East Rand

• Reporting to the Production Manager, the Foreman will be responsible for all production related activities in the rough shop.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE MAIN DUTIES

• Management of all production employees including machine operator and labourers 10 employees.
• Monitor production output and drive productivity in order to achieve production targets as agreed.
• Drive down the scrap rates through ensuring employees are well trained and always conforming to procedure.
• Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained on all machinery
• Do First off and monitor quality of product produced.
• Quality, Health and Safety Compliance 
• Deal with employee HR issues. 
• Control all drawings and documents.
• Exercise tight control on all tooling used in the rough shop.
• Control costs related to overtime, ensuring overtime is in line with expected productivity.
• Reporting to management as required on items related to Production in the Rough Shop.

Minimum requirements

• Matric
• A trade qualification is preferred
• Machining experience is essential
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory position in a manufacturing environment.
• Team Player
• Good communication skills
