The Role:

They are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated Facility Manager to oversee one of their properties in Somerset West/Helderberg. The property is home to over 50 tenants, including individuals and small-to-medium-sized businesses. As the Facility Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the property is run efficiently, tenants are supported, and the property itself is maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing any concerns or requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, and improvements, ensuring that the facility is always in excellent condition.
• Manage property records, leases, renewals, and all associated documentation.
• Assist with budgeting and managing property-related expenses, ensuring costs are controlled and within budget.
• Proactively market vacant spaces and support leasing efforts to attract and retain tenants.
• Ensure the property complies with all safety regulations, and implement and maintain necessary procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of tenants.
• A highly responsible individual with strong ethical values, who takes ownership of tasks and follows through on commitments.
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day operations, handle administrative tasks efficiently, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in standard office software (MS Office, email, etc.), and comfortable using property management systems (experience with these systems is a plus).
•  A degree or relevant post-secondary qualification is preferred.
• Property management experience is a plus but not a requirement.
• Own reliable transport is essential to commute to and from the property.

Position Type: Full time permanent position based in office.

Location: Somerset West.

Salary offered: R20 000-R35 000 CTC per month, depending on experience.
