Feedlot Section Manager (Junior) – Senekal
Well established Company, requires the services of Feedlot Section Manager, at their Senekal branch, to join their team.
The main purpose of this position is to take responsibility for managing daily feedlot operations including livestock feeding programs and all aspects of the management of cattle.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.SC Agriculture or B Agriculture Degree
- Experience in Cattle Farming minimum 5 years
- Experience in farm maintenance
- Computer literate
- Ability to motivate and work with staff
- Strong communication skills
- Code B driver’s license
- Good planning and organizational skills
Duties:
Day-to-day running and management of the cattle in your Section
Stay up to date on industry trends and technical knowledge
Understand nutritional requirements for livestock
Receive, inspect and transfer livestock
Assist in accurate recordkeeping of livestock activities
Influence a positive workforce environment by following safety policies and modelling safe work practices
Follow safety and health standards
Any other duties that may be delegated by line management with the purpose of meeting the feedlot objectives.
Be up to date with policies and the manage implementation thereof in various feedlot sections
Review job cards monthly to ensure accurate record keeping of work done
