Our client (Animal Shelter) based in George is looking to appoint a Field Officer to join their team.
If you have a love for animals and are dedicated to their welfare, this is the opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Respond to animal rescues, emergencies, and cruelty calls
- Educate the community on animal care, handling, and sterilisation
- Perform inspections and document animal welfare concerns
- Assist in the collection of sick, injured, and unwanted animals
- Take photos for investigations and follow-up inspections
- Work closely with inspectors and promote animal welfare across businesses
Requirements:
- Registered as an Animal Welfare Assistant
- Qualified Field Officer with at least 1 year of experience
- Valid Code 8 driver’s licence
- SAPS clearance certificate
- Passion for animal welfare and good animal handling skills
- Excellent communication and administrative skills
- Ability to work after hours and under pressure
