Field Service Mechanic

Our client in the manufacturing sector, has an EE opportunity available for a Field Service Mechanic. 

Requirements:

• Matriculation Certificate or N3
• Valid Driver’s licence
• Formal SAQA accredited qualification as a diesel mechanic
• 5 years exposure and proven track record working on mobile cranes and trucks
• Proven track record in fault finding and repairs on mobile cranes and trucks
• Engine repairs
• Gearbox repairs
• Hydraulic repairs

KPAs:

• Undertake vehicle inspections and checks
• Diagnose and fault finding as per the job card instructions
• Identify parts to be replaced and/or repaired
• Submit parts and consumables requisition to supervisor
• Fix and fit parts and consumables as required
• Ensure that work quality is consistent with prescribed
• Conform with the departments job card procedure i.e. labour, kilometres, travelling, buy-outs, stores issues or sundries processing
