JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity available for a Field Service Mechanic in the Cranes and Trucks department.

Requirements:

Matric
Valid driver’s license.
SAQA accredited qualification as a diesel mechanic.
5 to 10 years’ experience as a mechanic.
Proven track record in fault finding and repairs on mobile cranes and trucks.

Responsibilities:

Undertake vehicle inspections and checks.
Diagnosis and fault finding as per the job card instructions.
Identify parts to be replaced or repaired.
Submit parts and consumables requisition to supervisor.
Fix and fit parts and consumables as required.
Ensure that work quality is consistent with prescribed standards.
Ensure all machines, equipment and gear is in a safe working condition and left in a safe working condition on completion of repairs.
Isolate the unit before leaving site.
Conform with the departments job card procedure.
