Finance Assistant 

One of our clients based in Maitland, they are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their mechanical Manufacturing company , The role would require an all-rounder, dynamic and enthusiastic individual

Formal schooling / degree: 

N4 Financial Management/ Certificate/ Diploma in Financial Accounting

Experience:

• ERP system and IT (SAP knowledge would be an advantage)
• Financial Knowledge, 3 years' financial experience
• Microsoft Office

MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine calculations to produce analysis and reports as requested
• Create, Send, and follow up on invoices. (Creditors, Debtors, Sales Functions)
• Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified
• Adhere to company's financial policies and procedures
• Opening of clients' accounts with third parties
• Cashbook
• Assisting procurement (purchase orders, sorting GRN's)
• Reconciling of general ledger accounts
• Timeous preparation of monthly journal
• SARS communication, filling VAT/EMP returns
• Payment on ERP system and directly on Bank platform
• Cash flow forecasts together with investments
• Cost saving imitative
• Analysis and Projects
• Assets (Depreciating additions and disposals)
• Plan Organise and manage own workload to ensure contribution to company's monthly financial reporting is achieved in a timeously and accurate manner
• Assist with Reporting
• Foreign transactions/ Payments together with Imports/ Exports/Customs
• Assist colleagues on daily tasks
• Assist with yearend and preparation and procedures
• Advanced Payment knowledge
• Various ad hoc duties
