SUMMARY:
Our client who is based in Centurion Pretoria is looking for a Finance Administrator - This will be a Part-time position (80hours p/m). The finance administrator is responsible for performing a variety of financial and administrative duties. 
They are responsible for strategizing on and planning for financial goals by working daily to achieve and maintain the financial health of our organization. A finance administrator will maintain accurate records and is required to remain compliant with all laws and company policies at all times. This means that the desired financial administrator will have high ethics, integrity, and accountability.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks
  • Gathering, analysing, and interpreting relevant financial data.
  • Evaluating and optimizing financial controls and procedures.
  • Updating daily transaction records.
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses.
  • Keeping records of invoices and tax payments, as well as reviewing and processing reimbursements.
  • Assist with preparing income statements, balance sheets, and budgets.
  • Identifying financial liabilities and performing risk analysis on liquidity and cash flow.
  • Resolving account discrepancies and performing account reconciliations.
  • Contact delinquent accounts
  • Create financial and inventory reports
  • Preparing financial reports, including projected returns on investment and growth rates.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial administration.
  • Keep an organized file system
  • Compare PO to invoice
  • Capturing data and invoices
  • Creditor reconciliations
  • Fleet card capturing
  • Credit card capturing
  • Cheque requisitions
  • Basic office and administration duties
  • Answering of telephone
  • Aiding the financial manager
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field preferable
  • Proven work experience as a finance administrator or similar
  • Practical experience with accounting Sage software, spreadsheets (such as MS Excel), and databases (such as MS Access)
  • Able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes
  • A solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures including crediting and debiting appropriate accounts, posting entries to ledger accounts, and reconciling accounts
  • In-depth knowledge of financial controls and accounting standards
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superb organizational and time management skills.
  • Works well in a team environment and with upper management
  • High level of critical thinking and logical analysis
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines
  • Proficient in English
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Always keeps the highest standards of compliance and confidentiality
