POSITION INFO:
My client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Clerk to join their dynamic finance team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes efficiently.

This role is based in Centurion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Transaction Management:
   
   • Process cashbook transactions and maintain accurate records.
   • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances.
   • Process and verify card transactions.
   • Follow up with cardholders on outstanding card slips.
   • Liaise with suppliers to ensure payments for proforma invoices and quotes are completed on time.
2. Accounts Payable Administration:
   
   • Prepare and process payment vouchers accurately and efficiently.
   • Capture supplier, municipal, and contractor invoices.
   • Ensure timely payment and proper filing of invoices.
   • Maintain detailed records of accounts payable, including balance sheet tracking.
3. Month-End Reporting:
   
   • Reconcile general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy.
   • Analyze financial data and prepare insightful reports for internal stakeholders.
4. Financial Filing and Documentation:
   
   • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial filing systems.
   • Regularly scan and file all financial documentation to ensure efficient record-keeping.
5. Clerical and Administrative Support:
   
   • Provide general administrative assistance to the finance department as needed.
   • Support the finance manager or head of finance with ad hoc financial and accounting tasks.

• Diploma/Certificate in Finance/Bookkeeping.
• 2 years proven experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and reconciliation techniques.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
