SUMMARY:
Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting to the Finance Executive, the incumbent will be responsible to oversee various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, whilst collaborating with other members of the finance team to support strategic decision-making and facilitate the achievement of organizational goals.

Minimum requirements:

South African Citizen
Qualified Chartered Accountant (registration with SAICA) âª 4-6 years related experience post articles Experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous
Audit Management/Supervision experience – familiarity with audit processes and experience in collaborating with external auditors during financial audits
Proven proficiency in financial reporting software and MS Excel (highly skilled in CRM utilization and Syspro)
Demonstrated knowledge of bills of materials (BOM’s)
Fluent in both Afrikaans and English

Key performance areas (inclusive but not limited to):

Responsible for the day to day financial operations of the company âª Adept at optimising cost structures, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuing compliance with financial commitments and forecasts
Building and implementation of forecast plans, business strategy and Opex control âª Assess company performance in relation to annual budget and strategy
Prepare financial models to evaluate the financial viability and conduct the necessary due diligence to inform the decision making
Identifying and assessing business risk, within the portfolio and ensure the implementation of necessary controls in mitigation
Oversee the finance department for the company to drive high performance within the finance function with a focus on teamwork and accountability to deliver commercial performance in order to exceed the financial targets and positively contribute to working capital efficiency.

Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting

Strong written and verbal communication style and ability to flex style to meet needs of different business units
Ability to work autonomously and make own decisions
