Finance Officer, Gauteng (contract till March 25)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Finance Officer for a contract role until March 2025 based in Rivonia, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• Degree in accounting, finance or business administration
• 5+ years’ experience in financial admin, bank recon, creditors processing / procurement procedures
• Must have completed SAICA training contract / articles
• Exposure to Global Fund experience advantageous
• Good MS Office ability and high levels of confidentiality

• Creditors recon & payment processing – supplier recons; purchase order recons; check GL accounts; capture invoices; load payments; ensure bank details match; creditors age analysis; ensure payment cycle is executed; reconcile balance sheet; deal with queries
• Accounts receivable – produce invoices; check timesheets against charge out; ensure correct supporting documentation is submitted; accurate preparation of payment requests
• Payroll processing – capture payroll data; compile & submit VAT201 and EMP201; cost analysis
• Petty cash / bank statements – monitor and reconcile bank statement; ensure petty cash availability; cash reconciliations monthly
• Month end reporting – journals; allocations; cashbook processing
• Governance & controls – respond to audit requests; filing/archiving financial documents; ensure SARS compliance
