We are seeking a talented and passionate Financial & Procurement Assistant to join our clients team in Pretoria and help us turn this vision into a reality.

POSITION INFO:
The Financial & Procurement Assistant supports the finance and procurement teams by managing financial records, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with budgets. The role also involves assisting in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to optimize cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities:
Financial Duties:

• Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, and receipts.
• Prepare and process payments, including reconciliations of bank accounts.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Assist with payroll processing and statutory returns (if applicable).
• Handle expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Monitor and report on financial transactions and variances.

• Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Prepare purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking with suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure documentation compliance.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services and resolve discrepancies.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in finance or procurement roles.
• Experience working in sustainable building design and construction.
• Construction, Manufacturing and/or Machinery industry experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
• Knowledge of procurement practices and regulations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with financial systems and procurement software is beneficial.
