A reputable concern established 1994 offering a wide range of mobile phone accessories is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the accounts payable function, maintaining the general ledgers and processing of month end journals. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting, the group treasury function and preparing and submitting the monthly VAT. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the stock counts and processing of stock count adjustments as well as maintaining the fixed assets register.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting
Completed SAICA articles is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 2-3 years post article experience in a similar role
Experience in a manufacturing/retail/FMCG/any stock environment is preferred
Experience dealing with stock counts and processing stock count adjustments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience dealing with multiple branches/business units/departments
