POSITION INFO:
My client is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to lead their finance and administration departments while driving operational excellence.

This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, financial accuracy, and strategic decision-making for enhanced profitability.

This role is based in Durban North.

Key Responsibilities:

• Departmental Leadership: Manage the administration and accounts functions, ensuring strict compliance with gaming board regulations and policies.
• Financial Analysis: Assist operations management in reducing costs and boosting profitability by analysing and reporting financial data, identifying budget deviations, and providing strategic recommendations.
• Budget Oversight: Lead the formulation and monitoring of accurate, timely budgets to support operational goals.
• Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous financial records in line with legal and company requirements.
• Audit Management: Co-ordinate audits and take swift corrective action where necessary.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure all statutory reporting requirements are met on time.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and motivate a competent and high-performing finance team through effective leadership and guidance.

• Degree in Accounting/Finance related.
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles.
• 4 years proven experience post articles in financial management within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities to inspire and guide a finance team.
• Thorough knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a high-compliance, deadline-driven environment.
