POSITION INFO:

We're looking for a Technical Financial Solutions Specialist with financial expertise to join our Project Delivery team. In this role, you'll bridge financial specifications and technical solutions within our Azurite system, working closely with finance, operations, and technical teams to implement and optimise financial products. You'll balance resolving current challenges with developing new solutions, shifting focus to implementation as the system stabilises.

What to Expect:

Product Support and Troubleshooting (Initially 50% of role)

• Lead investigation and resolution of complex financial calculation issues within existing products
• Analyse and diagnose system behaviour to identify root causes of financial discrepancies
• Develop and implement corrective measures for identified issues
• Create documentation of known issues and their resolutions
• Build and maintain a knowledge base of common problems and solutions
• Train and guide team members on troubleshooting methodologies

New Implementation and Development (Initially 50%, growing to 80% of role)

• Translate financial specifications into detailed technical solutions for Azurite implementation, considering both financial accuracy and operational efficiency
• Build system solutions that incorporate both financial requirements and operational constraints to optimize client needs
• Partner closely with the finance team to ensure technical solutions align with financial requirements and obtain necessary sign-offs
• Work with operational teams to ensure solutions are optimized for real-world implementation
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and technical standards
• Create and validate financial data models, including amortization models, interest calculations, and investment quotes
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, finance, technical, and regulatory functions
• Build and maintain Azurite solutions based on approved financial specifications

What You'll Bring:

• Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering preferred)
• Professional financial qualification (CFA, FMVA, or Actuarial Science)
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with financial products in an implementation or technical role
• Strong understanding of financial product mechanics and economics
• Experience working in finance-related industries (banking, investment, or fintech)
• Demonstrated experience in technical project delivery
• Strong skills in financial data modelling
• Experience with ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
